Having landed the Allianz League division 3 title on Saturday evening past with a victory over Fermanagh, the Cavan footballers will now be turning their attention to the Ulster championship. Claiming that silverware will have given a massive boost to Mickey Grahams side who lost their last two group league fixtures to Antrim and Fermanagh and indeed were trailing at half time in the final before putting in an excellent performance in the 2nd half. Captain and goal keeper Raymond Galligan noted that the need for an increased work rate was something they spoke about in the dressing room.
Cavan's next outing will be on April 22nd as the face the preliminary round winners of either Armagh or Antrim in the quarter final.
