Wayne Rooney’s Derby County have avoided relegation from the Championship on a dramatic final day of the regular season.
Derby secured a 3-3 draw with Sheffield Wednesday, which sends Wednesday into League one, while Rotherham United also drop out of the second tier following a 1-1 draw with Cardiff City.
Wycombe Wanderers have also been relegated despite a 3-0 win at Middlesbrough.
Champions Norwich were held 2-2 at Barnsley, while Watford who have gained automatic promotion, beat Swansea 2-0.
Brentford warmed up for the play-offs with a 3-1 victory over Bristol City. While their semi-final opponents Bournemouth lost 2-0 to Stoke. The other semi-final will see Swansea face Barnsley.
