Crosserlough were crowned Cavan ladies senior football champions today following a 2-16 to 1-13 victory over Lurgan to Kingspan Breffni Park.
The Kilnaleck side held a four-point buffer at half-time where they led 1-10 to 1-6. Lurgan’s Niamh Daly scored a goal from the penalty spot while Kate Smith found the net for Crosserlough.
Six minutes after the restart, Crosserlough moved seven points clear before Lurgan hit three unanswered points leaving four between them at the second water break.
