Both Cavan and Monaghan are vying to reach the last four

It is a big evening of U20 football championship action with fixtures in Ulster, Connacht and Munster. It is straight knockout in Ulster with 2 quarter finals down for decision.

Cavan make the trip to Owenbeg to face Derry at 7pm. Meanwhile, Monaghan are away to Armagh at the BOX-IT Athletic grounds at 7:30. Donegal and Tyrone await the winners in the semi-finals. The Breffni side claimed their first win in the competition over Fermanagh last Wednesday night in Brewster park to reach the knockout stages.

The U20 action gets underway at 6:30 with defending Connacht champions Sligo taking on Mayo in Mac Hale. Whereas, at the same time in Ballinamore, Leitrim take on Roscommon.

All four sides are still in contention to reach the knock out stages with Galway who have completed their games currently topping the table on five points while the Rossies, Letirim and Mayo are on three with Sligo on two.

Whomever tops the table at the end of the night will go straight thru to the final with second and third meeting in the semi-final.

Meanwhile, Supervalu Páirc Uí Chaoimh hosts the Munster under-20 football meeting of Cork and Kerry this evening. Tipperary and Clare are both seeking their second wins of the competition when they meet in Ardfinnan.
