Donegal have now progressed to the semi final of the 2021 Ulster Minor championship following a hard earned 1-09 to 10 point victory over Monaghan in St Tiernachs Park Clones on Wednesday evening (28th July).
Luke Mc Glynns' converted penalty midway through the first half was the decisive score. Donegal contested the majority of the game with fourteen players.
This was after the visitors seen Ethan Friel dismissed on 2 yellow cards.
It was a strong opening to the 2nd half for Monaghan with Stephen Mooney firing over 3 unanswered points followed by a further 2 in the 2nd quarter however it was not enough for the beaten 2020 finalists.
Donegal will now play Armagh in the Ulster Minor championship semi-finals next Wednesday.
