Sean McDermotts bowed out of the Ulster JFC at the semi-final stage following a 1-9 to 0-8 defeat to Downings at Edenderry.
Downings were a point up at the first water break before the sides cancelled each other out in the second quarter as Sean McDermotts trailed 0-5 to 0-4 at half-time.
Sean McDermotts narrowly shaded the third quarter and the Monaghan champions fought back to level the game at seven points apiece at the second water break.
Downings subsequently moved a point clear heading into injury time before Kyle McFadden sealed victory for the Donegal men with a goal four minutes into stoppage time.
Downings now advance to play Denn in the Ulster JFC final after the Cavan champions defeated Desertmartin 2-7 to 1-9 at Clones.
