Scotstown marched into the Monaghan SFC semi-final after brushing past Aughnamullen by 10 points.
The big county stars all stood-up and were counted as Scotstown dominated throughout, crushing Aughnamullen in the second-half.
Just seven minutes were on the clock when the game’s opening score arrived and it was a goal for Scotstown.
Jack McCarron blasting the ball into the net. Two quick fire points from Michael Bannigan and Mark McArdle brought it back to a one point game.
However, Damien McArdle and Darren Hughes added points for Scotstown as they led 1-2 to 0-2 after 14 minutes.
Bannigan converted a free on 17 minutes, but Jack McCarron replied immediately with a free. Jason Duffy made it a two point game on 19 minutes. However, Scotstown went up a gear.
Shane Carey, Jack McCarron (free), Conor McCarthy and Ryan O'Toole all scored points to move Scotstown 1-7 to four points ahead on 25 minutes.
Bannigan added his third free of the game, two minutes into injury time as Scotstown led 1-7 to 0-5 at half-time.

Scotstown picked up where they left off after the break, Darren Hughes and McCarron moving seven points clear. Bannigan converted a free before Joel Wilson caught out the Scotstown defence for a 39th minute goal.
The game appeared to be as Aughnamullen trailed 1-9 to 1-6.
Monaghan senior players step-up
However, county men bring a certain experience, Michael McCarville, Rory Beggan (free) and Ryan Malley saw Scotstown lead by six. Darren Geoghegan sent over two points for Aughnamullen either side of a Darragh Murray point.
Shane Carey restored the six point lead two minutes into injury time, before Killian McKenna stacked a claim for a semi-final with a goal.
Scotstown advance to the Monaghan semi-final, winning out 2-15 to 1-8. Scotstown will meet Corduff in the semi-final on Sunday October 8.
