Scotstown landed their first league title since 2015 with a 1-13 to seven point win over Clontibret.
Scotstown led six points to four at the first water break. The sides were level two points each after nine minutes before Scotstown added four unanswered points.
Conor McManus found the Clontibret net right after the water break as Scotstown led 1-8 to four points at half-time. Clontibret didn’t register a score from play in the opening period.
Scotstown kept their seven point lead at the second water break as they led 1-11 to seven points. Jack Gormley registered Clontibret’s first point from play.
However Clontibret failed to land a score in the final quarter as Scotstown won out 1-13 to seven points.
County champions Scotstown have now completed the club and championship double.
