A last-gasp goal saw Clontibret come from behind to draw 1-11 apiece with Scotstown and qualify directly for the Monaghan senior football championship semi-finals.
Donaghmoyne were too strong for Aughnamullen in the other group one fixture; the Fontenoys cruised to a 3-11 to 1-7 victory.
Aughnamullen are rooted to the bottom of the table while Clontibret, Scotstown Ballybay and Donaghmoyne all finished on five points.
Scoring difference is the separating factor as Clontibret qualified for the semi-finals with Scotstown and Ballybay heading for the quarter-finals while Donaghmoyne join Aughnamullen in the relegation group.
Meanwhile, a dominant second-half display saw Inniskeen score a 1-15 to 0-10 victory over Carrickmacross.
Oisin McConville’s men are through to the semi-finals having finished on top of group two and are the only side with an unbeaten record at senior level.
