A stunning third round has put Rory McIlroy into contention ahead of the final day of the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai.
McIlroy shot a seven-under-par round of 65 including three birdies on the last five holes as well as on the fifth, eighth, ninth and tenth holes.
The county Down man is currently on 12 under for the competition and three shots off the lead as he shares fourth place with Tyrell Hatton.
John Rahm is the clubhouse leader on 15 under. The Spaniard is one stroke clear of second-placed Matt Fitzpatrick with Alex Noren a further stroke behind in third place.
McIlroy will also be hoping to end the year as European number one. He faces competition from Fitzpatrick for the Harry Vardon Trophy.
