The incident occured after Johnny Cassidy was shown a red card

The match referee and linesman where struck as the Ulster JFC quarter-final between Arva and Ballymacguigan was marred.

The incident occurred, in the game's closing stages after Ballymaguigan’s Johnny Cassidy was shown a red card at Owenbeg.

Cassidy subsequently pushed referee Mark Dorrian and also struck the linesman. The linesman had stepped into protect the referee. The linesman fell to the ground after being struck, and received attention from medical personnel.

Cassidy was initially shown a red card after a scuffle involving both sides four minutes from time.

Arva had booked a place in the Ulster JFC semi-final having scored a 2-17 to 0-8 win.

Northern Sound Sport have asked the Ulster GAA for comment.
