Ramor United and Mullahoran took a giant step towards the knockout stages of the Kiernan's service Station Cavan senior football championship after tasting victory yesterday.
Ramor United made it three wins from as many games with a 1-15 to 1-10 victory over Shercock at Kingspan Breffni on Saturday.
The 2016 champions were six points clear heading into injury time a late goal embellished the scoreboard from the East Cavan men’s perspective.
Later that evening, Mullahoran bounced back from their second round defeat to Castlerahan by beating Killygarry 0-11 to 0-10 at Kingspan Breffni.
The sides were deadlocked at nine points each with seven minutes left before Mullahoran grabbed two of the last three scores to win by the smallest of margins.
