Monaghan county board reported an income of just over €1.4 million for 2023 at their convention.
With expenditure of similar status, resulting in a surplus just shy of €2,000.
Income was down considerably from last year, particularly due to no focused fundraising event in the year. Whereas, expenditure had increased due to county teams extended runs in competitions in particular the minors reaching the all-Ireland final and the senior team the semi-final.
There was also a number of elections for positions on the night. Majella Boyd completed her term as P.R.O after five-years and winning the contest for assistant secretary.
Mary McEnaney will take over the P.R.O position, winning on a vote.
Meanwhile, the annual end of year award winners were also announced on the night. Rory Beggan winning the senior footballer of the year. Whereas, Ronan Grimes the intermediate player and Phillip Donnelly taking the junior accolade.
The senior hurler of the year award went to Niall Arthur with Thomas Hughes the young hurler.
Maeve Monaghan landed the ladies footballer of the year award. Codi Morgan claimed the camogie award.
Conor McCarthy is the club Monaghan senior footballer of the year with Kevin Crawley the senior hurler. The club of the year was awarded to county senior champions Scotstown.
