Antonio Conte has been confirmed as the new manager of Tottenham Hotspur. The Italian, who has won League titles with Chelsea, Juventus and Inter Milan, replaces Nuno Espirito Santo in North London. He's agreed an 18 month contract, with an option to extend. Conte's name had been linked with Manchester United in recent days, ironically Uniteds 3-0 win over Spurs in the premier league has seen Ole Gunner Solskjaer gain some breathing space in his position while it forced Tottenham to make a change. United are in champions league action this evening (Nov 2nd) when they face Atalanta in Italy. Speaking ahead of that fixture Solskjaer remarked he can take the heat and critisim that is part of the job
Former Arsenal manager Unai Emery is reported to be in talks with Newcastle United about the vacant role at St James' Park. The Villarreal boss guided the Spanish club to the Europa League title last season. Ex Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is also being linked with the post.
