Cavan will be planning without Gearoid Mc Kiernan for their opening league game against Leitrim. The Breffni forward had featured strongly in the Bank of Ireland Dr Mc Kenna cup competition particularly in their impressive win over Tyrone, however a suspension carried over from 2021 will see him unavailable for selection this weekend.
