Inter- provincial fixtures this weekend will showcase the proposed changes

Connacht manager Padraic Joyce has endorsed the new Gaelic Football rules which will be on trial at Croke Park this weekend. There will be interprovincial semi finals, with Leinster to play Connacht and Munster to meet Ulster on Friday. There's then a third / fourth place play off and the final on Saturday.  Jim Gavin's Football Review Committee have introduced initiatives such as 4 points for a goal, 2 points for a point when scored outside the 40 metre arc, the retention of 3 players per side in the opposing half at all times and a solo and go when a player is fouled. Galway native Joyce says we are going to see a different type of football.
