As the dust and mainly mud come to a rest across counties Meath; Kildare and Dublin, the ALMC Winter Trial kickstarted the inaugural Motorsport Ireland National Endurance Championship on Saturday.
33 crews tackled 16 of the planned 18 selective’s (weather prevented Dunsany Woods from running). It was one of the tightest competitions throughout the day.
The endurance trial was the opening round of the National championship
Defending champions Robert Howard and Claire Murtagh once again emerged victorious, five seconds clear of Karl O’Donoghue and Evin Hughes.
The organisers would like to thanks the office team of Deirdre Gallagher/Helen Shortt and Chief Marshal Raymond Scullion. Selective teams, marshals, and the landowners who made this event possible.
A special appreciation to the team at Luttrellstown Castle Resort for hosting and contributing to the trial's success since 2011.
The Gary Emmett Trophy (“It's all about preparation”) was awarded to Tom O’Neil for his continuous outstanding contribution to this event and to ALMC in general.
Congratulations once again to Overall winners Robert Howard and Claire Murtagh for their outstanding performance.
