Monaghan native Scarlett Herron has signed for Shamrock Rovers.
Herron joins the hoops joins from Athlone Town, where she scored six goals in 32 first-team appearances.
While, Herron won the FAI U19 International Player of the Year. Whereas, Herron found the net in recent European Qualifiers against Norway and Croatia.
“I am absolutely thrilled to be signing for Shamrock Rovers" said Herron. "I am looking forward to a new challenge with the club,”
“Rovers provide a very professional environment and have an extremely high calibre of players and coaches which will only help me improve as a young player".
“I am really excited to get going after the mid-season break" added the Monaghan woman.
Indeed, the 18-year-old made her Women’s Premier Division debut in April 2022 for Peamount United. While, the Monaghan woman then made the switch to Athlone Town in July of that year.
“She is a player with great potential and will add a different dimension to our team" said Shamrock Rovers head coach Collie O'Neill.
