Monaghan will face Kildare in the preliminary quarter-final of the All Ireland series following this mornings draw. The Lilywhites have home advantage for the fixture but with their county grounds currently been re-developed they will be forced to move outside of the county to host the fixture. In the recent group fixtures they hosted Dublin in Nowlan Park (Kilkenny).
Monaghan finished third in their group following a loss to Donegal on Saturday past having claimed a win over Clare and draw against Derry. Kildare drew with Sligo, suffered a heavy defeat to Dublin but claimed a vital win over Roscommon.
The other preliminary fixtures will see Galway welcoming Mayo, Roscommon make the trip to Cork and Donegal will host Tyrone.
