The competition took a break after Round 3

After a weekend break in Monaghan the senior championship returns this Saturday and Sunday with Round 4 and again plenty to play for. Group 1 fixtures on Saturday will Aughnamullen taking on Cremartin with both sides looking to move themselves up towards the top end of the table which is currently topped by Scotstown who face 2nd placed Corduff. A win for either side there will secure them a knock out place in the championship with the defending champions Scotstown assured of a semi final spot should they make it 3 wins from 3 outings. Clontibret have already secured their semi final spot with 6 points on the board in Group 2 and have a bye this weekend. All eyes will be on Paric Gratten on Sunday as last years Beaten finalists Inniskeen will be looking to pick up their first win when they face the 2023 intermediate champions Killanny who only need 1 more point to make the quarter finals. The other fixture in that group will see Latton hosting Donaghmoyne with both sides also looking to pick up valuable points and avoid the relegation group.
