Monaghan opened their ulster minor championship campaign with a convincing win over Fermanagh.
Dermot Malone’s side opened their campaign with a 4-10 to eight point victory
The farney led 1-6 to three points at half-time. Killian Kearns, Evan Treanor and Cian Rafferty had Monaghan three points to nil ahead.
Kearns rattled the Fermanagh net and two points from Darcy Foy and one from Charlie Mone had Monaghan six points ahead at half-time.
Senan Hanratty found Monaghan’s second goal seven minutes after the restart. Points from Foy and Evan Treanor moved Monaghan 2-8 to six points clear on 43 minutes.
Kearns converted a penalty nine minutes from time to move the farney 14 points clear. Cian Rafferty added 1-2 in the final four minutes to put the gloss on the 14 point victory.
Monaghan’s next game in the ulster minor championship is at home to Down on Saturday April 20.
