Monaghan set up an Ulster minor football quarter-final meeting with Armagh by beating Donegal 0-14 to 0-11 at Clones.
Monaghan dominated the first half and led 0-9 to 0-3 at half-time. Max McGinnity with six points for the Farney men.
Donegal began the second half impressively and points from Lorcan McGee, Callaghan and Conor McCahill helped to reduce the margin.

Monaghan’s Donnachadh Connolly was sent off during the third quarter but the Farney men held on for a three-point win.
