Armagh clinched their first Ulster Ladies Senior Football title since 2014 as they held off Monaghan 17 points to 15 in Clones.
Armagh led seven points to six at half-time, even after extending their advantage to five, Monaghan fought back in the final quarter, but couldn’t close the gap.
Cora Courtney and Ellen McCarron sent over seven points apiece but ended up on the losing side as Armagh captain Kelly Mallon found six points.
While Armagh had led by five points at the second water break, Monaghan fought back to reduce the gap to a single score with nine minutes remaining.
Armagh however were able to fend off the Farney counties charge and never allowed the Monaghan ladies close the gap and won out by two points.
