Monaghan will face Donegal in the semi-finals of the Bank of Ireland Dr. McKenna cup after they topped Group C with a 2-09 to 12 point win over Fermanagh.
The visitors had gotten off to a slow start in Brewster Park last night going down by four points in the opening quarter.
However, goals in either half from Andrew Woods and Stephen O'Hanlon were enough to progress to the last four.
Manager Vinny Corey was happy with the win especially as it once again give him a chance to hand out a number of debuts to players.
Monaghan will face Donegal in the semi-final on Sunday at 1pm in Castleblayney.
Armagh's win over Tyrone was enough for them to progress to the last four as the best runner-up. Where they will meet Derry who had topped group B with two wins from two outings.
The other McKenna cup fixture in Paric Esler saw Down stage a late comeback to claim victory over Cavan, 2-15 to 1-15.
