The Monaghan football championships are set to get underway on August second with the final set for September 27.
The Monaghan county board have set a straight seven weeks of club football from the August bank holiday weekend until the semi-finals on September 13 with the final two weeks later on the 27th.
The senior and intermediate championship will have two groups in each grade with five teams in each group. Team will play two home and two away games.
The two group winners will progress to the semi-finals with the teams in second and third place advancing to a quarter-final.
A Relegation play-off between teams finishing fourth and fifth in both groups will take place in both the senior and intermediate championship
The junior football championship will follow the same format as the senior and intermediate championship but with no relegation in the junior grade, there will be four quarter finals fixtures.
Monaghan board also plan to run a reserve competition from September 20th up to November eighth.
