It is set to be another busy weekend of club championship action across the Northern Sound region in all 3 codes of Senior, Intermediate and Junior. In Monaghan tomorrow in the senior grade, Killanny host Latton at 3:30 in group 2. The home side have 1 win and a loss to their name while Latton who had a bye in round 1 drew with Inniskeen last weekend. Manager for the O'Rahilly side David Lennon is expecting a tough battle up in the south of the county
The other fixture in that group will see Donaghmoyne welcoming Clontibret at 6:30.
On Sunday it is a local derby in Group 1 as Cremartin welcome Ballybay at 5pm and Aughnamullen are away to Corduff before that at 2pm.
The Intermediate championship is also into round 3 this weekend. Tomorrow in Group 2 Monaghan Harps welcome Castleblayney at 3:30 while Truagh host Carrickmacross at 6:30. Sunday in Group 1 will see St Tiernachs Park host Clones and Doohamlet at 2pm while Magheracloone make the trip to Blackhill at 5
There is also plenty of action in the Junior championship as tomorrow in Group 2, Rockcorry are away to Toome at 3:30 while Currin make the short trip to Killeevan at 6:30. Group 1 on Sunday is the meeting of Sean Mc Dermotts and Scotstown in Threemilehouse at 2pm, while Drumhowan host Aghabog at 5.
