Conor Mohan continued his fine form in the navigator seat on Saturday night winning the Monaghan Motorclub night navigation trial with his driver Michael Carbin.
The expert crew finished 12 points ahead of novice pairing of Adam Langan and Shane Maguire. The pair won the novice class. Whereas, Conor Boylan and Derek Mackeral completing the top three.
Aaron McElroy and Declan Tynan were top of the semi expert class. While, Caolain McCaffrey and Sean McCaffrey were best of the beginners.
The trial was the final round of the national championship. A fourth place finish for the Limerick and Monaghan paring of Greg Shinnors and Andy Mackeral enough to see them claim the title.
Whereas, the midlands crew of Sam Johnston and Colin Duffy rueing a wrong departure at time-point 19. Which, cost them and saw the pair finish as runners up.
It was also a counting round of the Squealing Pig Border championship which will now go down to the final round in Donegal in two weeks time.
