Dessie Mone has praised team mate Conor McManus as the G.O.A.T as he retires from inter-county football.
37-year-old, McManus confirmed his decision in a statement released by the Monaghan county board on Friday evening. Mone declaring his club mate, Monaghan’s greatest player of all time (G.O.A.T).
Whereas, McManus won two Ulster championships with Monaghan, including 2013s triumph. Which saw the county end its 25-year wait for senior provincial glory. The Clontibret man, also won two National League crowns (Division 2 and 3) and three All-Star awards.
Indeed, the Clontibret man represented Ireland in four International Rules tests against Australia, winning player of the series on two of those occasions.
