Rory McIlroy is two shots off the lead at the Irish Open on his home course.
Matteo Manassero tops the leader board as the Irish Open reaches its halfway stage at Royal County Down.
The Italian shot a five-under-par round 66 to top the leader board on six-under-par heading into the weekend.
Whereas, McIlroy carded a second round 70 to reach halfway on four-under-par, tied for fourth place. Indeed, English men Todd Clements and Laurie Canter sit joint second on five-under-par.
McIlroy is joined on four-under by Ewen Ferguson and Alejandro Del Rey. Ferguson having carded a two-under 69 for the second day in a row.
Elsewhere, Shane Lowry is one-under after he carded a 69 and 17-year old amateur Sean Keeling finished the day level-par. Tom McKibbin and Seamus Power will make the cut on one-over par.
The project cut mark is three-over-par.
Amateur Max Kennedy is just above the cut mark on two-over, but Simon Thornton and Padraig Harrington will miss out on the weekend as things stand.
