Martin Cahill has been appointed as Head of Operations with Cavan GAA. He will take up the role in the middle of February. Martin joined Cavan Co Board in 1987 when he became secretary of the Youth Board and held that position until 1992. From 1992 to 2007 Martin occupied many roles within Cavan GAA including Coaching Officer, Youth Officer and Development Officer. In 2007 Martin replaced Tom Boylan as Treasurer a position he has held to this day.
Cavan Co Board have thanked Martin for all his hard work and contributions to Cavan GAA in his various roles to date and welcome this appointment. Martin is a member of Denn GAA, and will be supported in his new role by his wife Marianne and sons Christopher, Cillian and Conor. Cavan Co Board also thanked outgoing County Secretary Liam McCabe for his outstanding contribution to Cavan GAA over the past decades and wish him the very best in his retirement.
