Leona Maguire scored the best performance of her career when she tied for sixth place at the LPGA drive on championship in Florida.
Maguire shot a two under par round of 70 to finish five under par for the tournament her best finish since joining the LPGA tour.
The Cavan woman didn’t have it her own way, shooting bogeys on the first and second holes and falling back to one under par overall.
A run of three birdies on five, six and seven got Maguire back on track before a bogey at nine saw Maguire reach the turn with a level par 36.
A birdie on 12 followed by a bogey on 14 was expertly built on as Maguire finished with two birdies at 17 and 18 for a two under 70 and five under par overall.
American Austin Ernst won out shooting -15 par with Jennifer Kupcho second on nine under with Jenny Coleman finishing on eight under par for third.
South Korean In Gee Chun shot a three par final round to finish fourth on seven under. Maguire finished joint sixth on five under par with American Danelle Kang.
