China's Ruoning Yin won her first major title i thanks to a flawless final round at Baltusrol.
Maguire's challenge came undone after three excellent rounds. Maguire entered the final round with a one shot lead over Jenny Shin.
However, Maguire registered bogey's at six, eight and 11. While a birdie at 13 revived hope, a bogey at 14 knocked back Maguire's challenge.
Yin shot 67 final round to win out eight-under-par.
Leona shot a final round 74 to finish on four-under-par for the championship. The Cavan woman finished tied 11th overall and with a prize of $168,170.
