Limerick have made it three All-Ireland senior Hurling championships in-a-row after beating Kilkenny 1-31 to 2-26.
Gearoid Hegarty slammed the ball into the back of the net early on to set Limerick on their way. John Kiely’s side looked to be in control leading 1-17 to 0-16 at the break.
However, Billy Ryan and Mossy Keoghan scored the goals for Kilkenny as the Cats surged back in the second-half.
For every fight back however Limerick replied and never trailed throughout the game. Hegarty ended up with 1-5 as Limerick won out 1-31 to 2-26.
Limerick are only the fourth side in history to win three consecutive finals.
