Leona Maguire three off the lead at USPGA

Leona Maguire is three shots off the lead ahead of the third round at the Women's PGA Championship.

A second-round 71 at Sahalee, Washington State leaves Maguire on three-under-par, three shots off co-leaders Sarah Schmelzel and Amy Yang on six-under.

Korean Jin Young Ko, Japan’s Hinako Shibuno and Lexi Thompson are tied third on four-under-par.

Whereas, Maguire is tied sixth with Korean Haeran Ryu and Japan’s Miyu Yamashita. Indeed three players are tied at two-under.

World number one Nelly Korda missed the cut after a disastrous second-round saw her finish on six-over.

The Cavan woman is due to tee-off her third round at 7:39pm Irish time.
