Leona Maguire took second place at the LPGA Meijer Classic in Michigan with the tournament going to the last hole.
Nelly Korda landed the tournament by two strokes after posting a final round 67 for a total of 25 under par with Maguire carding a 66 for a total of -23.
The Cavan woman showed excellent form putting four rounds together carding six birdies on Sunday, not losing one shot throughout the day.
Maguire marked birdies at two, three and the par five fourth. Following that up with a birdie at the par five eighth, again at the par five 14th and the 16th.
Korda was also in good form having led by two overnight, Maguire’s pressure saw the American post bogey’s at four, 12 and 16.
Birdies came at three, four, 10, 11, 15 and an important eagle at the par five 15th.
Just one shot separated the two on the final hole with Korda chipping well to finish with a birdie for the two shot victory.
