Leona Maguire has bolstered her chances of a top ten finish at the HSBC Women’s World Championship in Singapore after a remarkable third-round performance.
The Cavan native shot a three-under par round of 69 leaving her in a share of 15th place on five-under and seven shots adrift of leader Chun In Gee.
Maguire posted her best round of the week carding four birdies on the first, second, fifth, 13th and 16th holes as well as bogies on the third and sixth holes.
South Korea’s Chun In Gee remains the player to catch on 12-under par and one shot clear of her compatriots Jeongeun Lee and Jin Young Ko who share second place.
World number one Ko is ready to stage a strong comeback after enduring a tough day where she rued several missed opportunities, especially on the front nine holes.
