Leona Maguire leads on day one in Florida

Leona Maguire shot an eight under-par 62 at the opening round of the LPGA Tour's Pelican Championship in Florida.

Maguire shot a total of eight birdies at the first, third, seventh and ninth. Then on the back nine at 12, 14, 15 and 18.

Korean Sei Young Kim sits in second place on six-under-par 64, while a group of three sit on five under par. These are American’s Lexi Thompson and Jennifer Kupcho and Japan’s Nasa Hataoka.

Maguire is clubhouse leader on eight-under-par with a number of players still on the course.*
