Leona Maguire along with Stephanie Meadow have been confirmed as Ireland’s qualifiers for the Olympic women’s golf tournament. Following her 15th place finish at the PGA womens championship, Leona remarked she is taking a well earned break after a number of weeks of tough competition which has seen her move to 60th place in the world rankings.
Qualifying places are based off the world rankings. Shane Lowry and Rory McIlroy were already confirmed as Ireland’s qualifiers in the men’s event.
