Leona Maguire tee’s-off her third round at the US Women’s Open at 9:15 tonight.
The Cavan woman is in a tie for fifth place at Pebble Beach and tee’s-off from one-under-par.
Maguire is six strokes behind leader Bailey Tardy of the USA. Tardy is in the final group and will tee-off at 9:36pm Irish time.
Maguire opened her campaign with a three-under-par 69. Maguire shot two-over-par second round 74 as she looks to improve on her US PGA showing.
I "Just need to hit more greens, I think" explained Maguire. "It's really tricky around these greens if you start missing greens, so just need to hit a few more greens and give myself a few more chances".

Meanwhile, tied for second on five-under-par are American Allisen Corpuz and Korean Hyo Joo Kim. Hae Ran Ryu of Korea sits on three-under. While Nasa Hataoka of Japan is tied with Maguire on one-under.
In addition, Clare amateur Aine Donegan will be out at 8:19 from one-over-par and is in a tie for 11th place.
This is the 78th edition of the U.S. Women’s Open and the first time that Pebble Beach Golf Links is hosting a women’s major championship.
All 11 Tour winners from this season are competing this week, including most recent major champion Ruoning Yin (KPMG Women’s PGA Championship).
Whereas, 12 past champions are back at the U.S. Women’s Open. including Annika Sorenstam (1995, 1996, 2006) and So Yeon Ryu (2011) on special exemptions.
