Leona Maguire finished in 28th place at the Pelician championship in Florida on 7 under 10 shots of the eventually winner Nelly Korda. The Cavan golfer had gotten off to a great start in the opening round of the competition when she carded a 62 to be the leader but rounds of 68 on Firday and Saturday followed by a 75 on Sunday seen her slip down the leader board. While the opportunity of a first win on the LPGA tour did pass by, Leona still done enough to qualify for the season ending CME Group tour championship.
