Gowna produced an amazing comeback to claim a one-point win over Killygarry in the Hotel Kilmore Cavan senior football championship, their first in this year’s campaign.
The men from the lough shore were five-points in arrears but an improved second half-display saw them win by a solitary point.
Matthew McKenna registered a brace of goals for Killygarry in the opening period helping them to a 2-6 to seven points lead at the interval.
Gerry Cadden side raised their game significantly in the second half responding with two goals of their own.
Conor Madden and substitute Frank Casey each found the net before Ryan Donoghue kicked the winning score as it finished 2-12 to 2-11 for Gowna.
