Conor McManus converted an injury time penalty as Clontibret came back to beat Donaghmoyne.
Clontibret won out by two points, 2-9 to 13 points after the dramatic finish in the Monaghan SFC.
Donaghmoyne led six points to five at half-time. A low scoring game, impacted by the aftermath of storm Betty.
Clontibret’s Jack Gormley saw red seven minutes into the second-half as the game inched toward Donaghmoyne. Donaghmoyne had a chance to put it beyond doubt on 48 minutes.
Davy Garland sending a penalty over the bar as Donaghmoyne led 10 points to seven. In fact Donaghmoyne led by three points entered the final two minutes.
Killian Lavelle found a last minute goal to square out the game. While Donaghmoyne edged ahead a minute later, the drama wasn’t over.
Clontibret went for broke and were rewarded a penalty with injury time nearly completed.
Conor McManus stepped up and avoided the long delay to slot home his penalty into the corner and secure victory.

Clontibret winning out 2-9 to 13 points. The win makes it two from two for Clontibret who sit a top group two of the Monaghan senior football championship.
Elsewhere, Inniskeen scored a five point victory over Magheracloone. Inniskeen winning out 1-7 to 0-15. Whereas, Magheracloone's goal came from Niall Marron on eight minutes.
However, Inniskeen were always in control, leading 0-8 to 1-2 at half-time, before going onto win by five points.
