The Ladies All Ireland Senior Football championship gets underway this weekend with the 2 teams from the Northern Sound region in action. Cavan have been drawn in the only 4 team group alongside Dublin, Mayo and Tipperary. The Breffni side will get their campaign underway tomorrow (Saturday) when they make the trip to the capital to face Dublin who were recently crowned the Leinster champions. Throw in for that game is at 2pm. Tipperary are away to Mayo also in that Group A
In Group B, Monaghan are alongside Meath and Armagh and get their championship up and going tomorrow when they welcome the Royal county who are the defending All Ireland champions to Drumhowan. Manager Kieran Kerans is hopefully the tight nature of the ground will give his side an advantage
Throw in for game is at 2pm and we will have coverage of both those encounters on Saturday sport. Galway and Kerry meet in Group C with Westmeath having a bye. In Group D Donegal take on Wateford with Cork the other team in that group
