Cavan and Monaghan are both playing for their senior status survival
The final round of games in the group stages of the Ladies senior football championship throw in this weekend. Both Cavan and Monaghan will be looking to retain their senior status for next year when they take to field on Saturday. Cavan welcome Tipperary to Kingspan Breffni at 2pm with both sides looking their first win of the campaign. A victory for either side will ensure their senior status for 2023. Monaghan are in a similar position as they make the trip to the Athletic grounds to take on Armagh. Having suffered a defeat to the All Ireland champions Meath in the opening round the Farney side require a win over the orchard county to avoid a relegation play off. A draw or victory for the home side will ensure their senior status for next season and a quarter final spot.
