Lacken were crowned Keoghans Imperial Cavan ladies senior football champions following a 16 points to 11 win over Crosserlough at Kingspan Breffni Park.
A strong second-half display saw the team from the lough shore claim a sixth ever title having led by nine points to seven at the break.
Crosserlough got off to a dream start leading by five points to one after just 12 minutes where Muireann Cusack, Ciara Boylan (three), and Ciara Finnegan were all on target while Marian McGuinness got Lacken’s opening score.
Lacken later responded to make it a two-point game before five scores on the trot gave them a two-point buffer at the interval.
Bonnie McKiernan and Shona King accounted for two of those with Roisin O’Keeffe scoring the remainder.
A further score from O’Keefe stretched the lead to three points after the resumption before Crosserlough responded with three successive scores to level the game at ten points apiece.
Subsequently it was Lacken’s turn to score a hat-trick of points as successive scores from Roisin O’Keefe saw Lacken lead by a goal with six minutes remaining.
O’Keefe added two more scores and Rosie Crowe added another as Lacken finished the game with five points to spare and won a first senior title since 2014.
