With one round of games remaining in the group stages of the Monaghan senior football championship, the knock out and relegation placings are already known. Inniskeen have been the most impressive so far in the competition as they made it 4 wins from 4 outings and will now enjoy a bye in the final round this coming weekend. Their perfect run sees them straight into the semi final spot However manager John Mc Entee noted that topping their group has left them at a disadvantage
Scotstown and Clontibret will meet next Sunday to see who will take the 2nd and 3rd spots, while Magheracloone and Donaghamoyne are in the relegation group. The other grouping will see Corduff and Latton meet in the final round to see who will take the semi final spot with the loser joining Aughnamullen in the quarter finals. Ballybay and Truagh complete the relegation group.
