Kingscourt stars boss Eoin Lennon admits his side made it hard on themselves against Ballinagh.
Kingscourt made it two wins from two, beating Ballingh 3-13 to 1-11 on Saturday night, having led 2-6 to 0-4 at half-time.
Although the stars let Ballinagh back in the game slightly in the second-half.
“There was times during the second-half when we really let the foot of the gas” explained Lennon. We “let Ballinagh back into the game”.
“Listen, coming here today, would we take that result? Of course we would” declared Lennon. “But we will have to look back on the window”.
Kingscourt opened their campaign with a one-point comeback win over Cavan Gaels, 2-10 to 1-14.
“Our target from the Cavan Gaels match, we had a couple of massive errors and we didn’t want any of them” explained Lennon.
“I’d say we did put that pressure together” added Lennon. “We look at that and try to correct it”.
“All we can do is fix our own game, look at the video and see what we can fix from it”.
Kingscourt will face Lacken in their round three game on Sunday at 2pm. However, Lennon isn’t concerned about the short turnaround for their next opponents.
“The draw just bring whatever it brings. We’ll be ready for it, we’ll be targeting another win whatever it brings”.
“The higher you get up the table the better it is”.
