Six goals in opening championship game

Killygarry opened their Kiernan services station Cavan senior championship with a 4-12 to 2-8 victory over Castlerahan.

A high scoring thriller in Kingspan Breffni which saw Castlerahan down to 13 players for a period. Due to a Euan Henry red card and a black card.

The sides were level 1-6 each at half-time. Martin Reilly with Killlygarry’s goal while Ciaran Caldwell found the net for Castlerahan.

Whereas, Second-half goals from Cian Keaney, Darragh Noonan and Darragh Lovett saw Killygarry to victory. Rory Smith landed Castlerahan’s goal.

Damien Donohoe was in Kingpsan Breffni for Northern Sound Sport.

On Thursday night, Gowna and Kingscourt stars played out a draw.
