History been made as Molls Gap to be run 3 times in one day

The opening round of the Irish Tarmac historic rally championship will be hosted by the Killarney and District Motor club this Saturday. A full entry list of historic and modified cars will take to the start line to compete over 7 stages with Molls gap been run 3 times. Last years winners Craig Breen and Paul Nagle are the number 1 seeds in their newly re-stored ex Frank Meagher Ford Sierra Cosworth with Jonathon Greer and Niall Burns at number 2 in the 4 wheel driver version of the Cosworth. Alan Ring and Adrian Deasy complete the top 3 in their Subaru Legacy RS. The Modified field will be led off by Kevin Eves and Chris Melly in their Toyota Corolla Twin cam with Monaghan's Dessie Keenan and Daniel Mc Kenna in their respective escorts among the top seeds as well as the Moffett brothers Sam and Josh who have swapped out their 4 wheel drive cars for some Rear wheel drive action. Stage 1 begins at 8:30am tomorrow morning with the first car due back at the finish ramp shortly after 4pm.
