Kilcoo produced the performance of the year to land five goals and dismiss Scotstown in their Ulster club semi-final.
The Down champions scored an 11-point victory landing four goals in a 10 minute spell either side of half-time.
Scotstown’s, Darragh Murray opened the scoring with five minutes on the clock. Scotstown playing against a strong wind in the opening half.
Anthony Morgan levelled the game 60 seconds later. Ryan Johnston and a Niall Kane 45 moving Kilcoo three points to one ahead after 11 minutes.
Shane Carey made it a one point game with a 20th minute free. However, Sheelin Johston restored the two point lead. A Rory Beggan free and Conor McCarthy play levelled the game on 24 minutes.
Jeorme Johnston and James Hamill exchanged scores as the sides were level three minutes before half-time.
However, the game swung totally in the favour of Kilcoo. Jeorme Johnston finishing the ball to the net after a good save from Rory Beegan. Christopeher Rooney found the net 60 seconds later as the Down side moved two goals clear.
Jeorme Johnstone put clear water between the sides a minute into injury time with a point from play. Kilcoo leading 2-6 to five points at half-time.
Indeed, Scotstown were caught out in the second-half, where they needed to respond quickest. Three minutes after the restart Michael Rooney rattled the ball to the net. Callum Doherty found Kilcoo's fourth goal two minutes later.
The game was effectively over as Kilcoo led 4-6 to five points.
Jack McCarron and James Hamill found two scores to give Scotstown some kind of hope. However, Kilcoo responded through Jeorme Johnstone to restore a 12 point lead.
Michael McCarvill and Christopher Rooney exchanged points with Aaron Morgan making it 4-9 to eight points on 43 minutes.
Scotstown put three points together through Rory Beggan and Jack McCarron frees and a point from play from Darragh Murray. Making it a 10 point game with six minutes remaining.
However, a Ryan Johnston point ended Scotstown slim comeback hopes. Mark McPhillips and Ross McKenna made it 13 points to 4-10.
Indeed Michael Rooney put the gloss on the score line two minutes from time with Kilcoo’s fifth goal. Emmet Caulfield landed a late point for Scotstown to wrap it up.
Kilcoo advance to the final and take the favourites tag winning 5-10 to 14 points.
